We love to teach English. Your child will be exposed to the English language, thus affording him/her multiple opportunities to improve his/her English. We offer English lessons to parents as well. Many lessons are offered in Dutch as well. It is up to the parents how much English lessons will be followed.
The British and Dutch curriculum is used as a guideline for teaching content. Skills and knowledge per child is observed and administered on three levels in knowledge and skills: passive, active in the same environment, active and integrated in different subjects, innovative within four different environments: family, group, local, national. The living curriculum is activating the skills and knowledge to be used in an independant and interdependent way.
We do observe if children have a passive knowledge about the required topic. We furthermore observe if the child will use that information or skill in the samen subject, within integrated subjects and in innovative ways. We will encourage children to go beyond the passive knowledge. If a child can explain to another child actively the content of e.g. a language skill, we know the child has command of that specific asoect of the language. We only will use tests in the latter years of the primary school, if we can't measure the passive knowledge of the child. The child will be tested by an official independent authority in the final year of the primary school. And the child will be prepared for the exam in the secondary school.
Parents are very welcome to join the learning experience. Once every week they may join their child(ren) supporting their own chil(ren) and be open-minded to learn as well. Parents could desire to spend more time with their children, because of the young age of the child, just entering school, or because of reasons to enhance the well being of the child. Those parents will spend more time in the group. As the child grows older and socially-and emotionally stronger, the parent can spend less time in the group. Parents who would like to stay connected to the group, may follow a program as a teacher-assistant as preparation and during the time when they support their child regulair at school.
Each group has an independent location. Each group comprises 20 children and two adults of which one is a teacher. We are presently looking for a location in Apeldoorn. When parents want to start another class in their vicinty, and they have a location, they may contact us and we will investigate the possibility of staring another group.

Physical, emotional-and social well-being are of the utmost importance. We treasure what is good, we nurture, we watch closely and ask for professional help when needed. We have a special care-team for families, as we believe that strengthening the whole family benefits each member. As children, staff and parents are using materials in nature, we check beforehand if tools are safe and advance development. We will encourage and stimulate each other to develop talents to be used within the natural surroundings and for the community.
During the intake we ask questions about the social and emotional well being of your child. On our team we will have healthspecialists and we will direct you to other specialists if needed. It is very important that your child will feel safe and well as a prerequisite for learning.
